COMESA-EAC-SADC, Tripartite Trade Negotiating Forum opens in Mauritius

GIS - June 01, 2012: The 3rd Meeting of the COMESA-EAC-SADC Tripartite Trade Negotiating Forum opened this morning at Grand Bay International Conference Centre.The Tripartite initiative aims at harmonising the trade regimes of the COMESA, EAC and SADC through the establishment of an enlarged Free Trade Area (FTA). The third edition of the ICT-BPO International Conference will be held in Mauritius on 06 December 2013 at the Intercontinental Hotel, Balaclava. The event showcases the experience, know-how and best practices of Mauritius in developing ICT as a central pillar of the economy. The thematic for this year’s edition will evolve around developing strategy for the export of ICT-BPO services and solution to Africa and countries in the region.

The ICT-BPO International Conferences will be preceded by the Youth Engagement Summit (YES) on 04 and 05 December 2013. The YES Africa whose objective is to place youth at the centre of Africa’s ICT Development Agenda, is an initiative of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology of Mauritius and is being organized in collaboration with Extensia Ltd.
